Motor graders are the main machinery used for shaping and leveling operations in earthwork, and are widely used in large-scale ground leveling operations such as highways and airports. The reason why the grader has a wide range of auxiliary operation capabilities is that its scraper can complete a 6-degree movement in the space. It can be done individually or in combination. The grader can provide sufficient strength and stability for subgrade construction. Its main methods in roadbed construction include leveling, brushing and filling.

The grader is a high-speed, high-precision, and multi-functional earth-moving machine. It can complete large-scale leveling, trenching, slope scraping, bulldozing, snow removal, loosening, compacting, cloth, mixing, loading assistance, land reclamation, etc. for important roads, farmland and other large areas. Motor graders are important equipment in national defense projects, mine construction, road construction, water conservancy construction and farmland transformation. Highway roadbed is the foundation of road surface and an important part of highway engineering. The subgrade bears the traffic load of the road surface and is the supporting structure of the road surface. It must have sufficient strength, stability and durability. According to different terrains, road embankments and cuts are generally used as roadbeds.

Among the various pumps and valve parts used by the motor grader, the matching clearance and working surface between the relative moving parts are small, and there are many damping holes and slit control valves in the hydraulic parts. If dirt is mixed into the oil, it will block up, or even scratch the mating surface, increase leakage, or even block the valve core, resulting in component failure. Therefore, keeping the oil clean is the key to the maintenance of the hydraulic system. Among them, the method of using the outer loop of the system is more maneuverable. The method is to drain the waste oil in the fuel tank and radiator first, and then add new oil. Remove the oil return pipe that enters the fuel tank, start the engine, and allow the waste oil to completely flow out of the oil return pipe.
